I just installed the Adsense Deluxe plugin to my WP blog. When I try to create an ad unit I get an error message saying: Cannot load adsense-deluxe.php. Is something wrong with this plugin or am I missing something?
From the plugin website -- posted as an answer to a similar question as yours: "On the plugins admin menu where you activate and deactivate plugins is a shortcut link to take you to the Adsense-deluxe options page. This shortcut only works if you put the plugin file into wp-content/plugins. If instead you have the plugin in a sub-folder/directory from there, that link will not work and you’ll need to access the options for Adsense-deluxe by first clicking Wordpress’s “Options†menu, then the adsense-deluxe submenu." Hope it solves your problem.
Hi, any idea on 404 error after clicking the "Add Adsense Block"? I believe I had the installation part correct, however I was brought out of the admin area and to my 404 page after I clicked on the "Add Adsense Block". Thanks.
I used Adsense Deluxe for about a week and then got so fed up with it I changed over to Adman which not only works better but it has more features and also supports almost every advertising network you can think of.
I found out what the problem was. For some reason I had to move the adsense-deluxe.php out of the original folder and into the plugins root. Nowhere in the instructions was this mentioned, nor have I ever seen another example of this happening.
You always have to move the plugin into the root plugins folder, unless the plugin as multiple files in its own folder in which case you upload the whole folder.
Oh yes..it's indicated in the readme.txt bundled together with the plugin. But well, you are not alone. I have come across folks having similar problem as you while searching for a solution for my problem.
