Having an VPS problem

  1. #1
    I had to reinstall an vps because there was something wrong and there was a huge bandwidth pike.

    So I have reinstalled it with CentOS 5.5 and Kloxo. added DNS records too. Then have reuploaded all files through FTP.

    But those sites still showing only that Kloxo splash page. It's like nothing's uploaded.

    Have you reconfigured Kloxo for your sites? Re-installing the OS/Kloxo is going to give you a brand new, fresh installation. You have to re-configure everything in Kloxo that you did the first time you set up your VPS. Just uploading the files via FTP isn't going to do anything.

    Well I did setup DNS records, mail etc. Could you tell me what other things I might have to configure ?

    If you are not familier with managing VPS. Just go for a managed VPS plan.

    Maybe your DNS was still propagating or server not configured correctly. Your Host or Kloxo support might be able to help you.

    Are you managing your IP Addresses properly?? What do you see when you try to access the website using the direct IP?

    I will recommand to uninstall kloxo and install zpanel. Its easy for start.
