lol I have no choice!!! :*

    yeaaaah seriously!!

    Thanks for helping me!

Now one other thing that confused me.. yeah its going to sound noob-ish...

You know how with Python there is a GUI where you write your script, and test it to see what the code you wrote just did.

Is there a thing like that with PHP or do you need to upload it to your ftp and view it via the internet to actually test the script?

    Thanks for your replies!

If you *INSTALLED WAMP [and ditched vista :)]* then you just need to put the PHP files you created in the www directory of WAMP or htdocs directory of XAMPP and go to 'localhost/pathtofile.php' [no quotes, you put that in the address bar]

If you DIDNT INSTALL WAMP :| then yes, you do need to upload/ftp etc.

    Short answer: yes you do.

lol thanks for answering... now one cool thing I just noticed is that my hostgator hosting account has myphpadmin and a whole bunch of other tools that I could use including php, apache, mysql etc... I have no idea how to use it but would that probably be the best option for me being that I have no knowledge on this subject...lol I dont know where to start but I figure after enough tutorial reading and walkthroughs and tinkering I should be able to get the hang of it lol
