I've recently launched a gadget site, doing short introduction on available gadgets in the market today. I've done social bookmarking, stumble, blog submissions and good old linkback to original sites. But it doesn't seems to be working as traffic is minimal. What else should I do?
I suggest you pick the gadgets on your site one by one and then write articles on them. Afterwards you post the articles in directories. I have experienced that people do not neccessarily look for the word gadgets but rather items like digital cameras, ipods, mp3 players etc.
if you tried those and not work, how about consider PPC like adwords or YPN? those might draw you a better target customer but ofcourse it's not cheap though. it's worth give it a try. ^^
i'll try checking with wordtracker and search for long tails, and might give craiglistguy's idea a shot. Would welcome more advice!
I also have a similar site, about gadgets. things aren't going great by at least the site is growing. I can only suggest you to keep working, keep socializing, keep submitting articles and mostly, have some great content. In time, your efforts will get paid. But don't expect a miraculous growth over night...
