ive decided to have a contest to encourage more feedback and response from my site (sig) which sits at around 50 visitors a day currently. I don't think i'll be paying cash.thought i'll use entrecard credits. How many entrecard credits would i have to offer to convince people to try win the contest?? which most probably would be a comment contest though i've not completely decided..
I was thinking of doing something similar on my site. I was going to offer a $10 prize to the user who could find the keyword with the highest ranking difficulty on dawjee. Is $10 a big enough prize? It's a free competition with no fees. If the prize is big enough, how would I promote the competition? Has anyone PM'd you with any ideas yet?
Don't use entrecard credits, it's still a new service and not many people are familiar with it. What's your budget for the prize that you're giving out? That would really hep in suggestions here.
Maybe you can give free gift in digital format like ebooks or software (which you own the Resell Rights)
True! The service is fairly new and if you offer this prize there will be people that will not participate or regard this contest as one that is worth participating in. I guess that you want to attract as many people as possible, right? You can offer a prize that will appeal to more people that have websites targeting different niches. The first thing that came to my mind was to offer a one month period of time when a banner or advertisement will be displayed on your blog or something like it. It won't cost you anything. Of course the options here are countless. Just think what prize people would like to get. What would you like to get for example. Ask yourself this question. Maybe, before starting the contest you could have a poll and ask this question there.
