Wow !!!!! Nicely said ToddieG, and thanks for persisting with the post - mine was a tad long You've certainly covered good ground there. I won't add to what you've said other than to say it's all relevant and useful and on target+ OK - just this little observation: Regarding hosting: Yahoo doesn't filter linkage across C Class IPs - so you could buy just one hosting acct, and set up multiple subdomains (which are treated as seperate sites/domains). If Google is the only imperative for you, you can grab yourself a cheap reseller acct - preferably WHM/Cpanel managed, and typically, cheap IP's along with it. Set up your own sites that way.. (it's a lot cheaper than buying up hosting accts peicemeal). Thanks ToddieG - your post was what I was hoping for. A useful, beefy contribution. Anyone else care to contribute ?
Oh PS: Can anyone honestly state they saw improvements in their rankings by simply enrolling in adwords ? AND - is it mere participation, or relative to spend ? Cheers.
Talk about timing. Over the last couple of weeks I have been concentrating on getting some good backlinks, and not just all straight reciprocal ones. Ran the trusty keyword tracker this morning and the site I mentioned previously is back in the SERPS. Not great and still over 100 but at least it's back in. Haven't changed any on page stuff so without being too scientific I would like to think it was a result of the increased backlinks. I'll take all comments on board and keep working. Thanks everyone.
Thank you for that post. I have been asking about how to create backlinks but this was the first response with real answers.
I have had the same problem I had 40,000 backlinks and suddenly it went down to 0 can anyone help me? http://bargainfindsonebay.com
digitalcamera: er 40k of backlinks and they are all gone. Not good. Yahoo only shows 3. Google shows 0 backlinks. You have 7 pages in the index so you are not banned. I searched "+www.bargainfindsonebay.+com" and found 102. How did you get these 40k of links. Didn't happen to puchase them? Did you get them all at once? Also can a mod break this question out of this thread. "March Have your new page ranks and backlinks held?" is not a good title. tx.
I had a old domain name forwarded to http://bargainfindsonebay.com/ well 2 actually. http://nasaconspiracy.net http://ebay-registration.info the ebay one had 40,000 but now they have disappeard could they have just disappeared?
I forgot to answer your question yes you can break this topic thread out if you want hey I don't care . Its just another shameless post for digital cameras and digital camera related site with some sony digital cameras.
digitalcamera: Don't really know what is going on there. The links are not being shown in Yahoo or Google for ebay-registration.info
Google shows only one (not indexed page) for http://ebay-registration.info and nasaconspiracy.net is no longer in the Google index. How were the names forwarded?
I hate dredging old post back from the dead but I forgot to reply to this. the names where forwarded using a 301 redirect true redirect in .htaccess file ^http:// or http://www. etc etc
Neither of your redirects seem to be working: Nasaconspiracy returns a 200 response in the header: #1 Server Response: http://www.nasaconspiracy.net HTTP Status Code: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Fri, 19 May 2006 06:33:59 GMT Server: tigershark/3.0.114 (dc-ts1.domaincontender.com) Connection: close Content-Type: text/html Content-Length: 22573 and http://ebay-registration.info is timing out when I try to contact it.
