Not yet, not sure I will either to he honest! I find windows 7 just right, Windows 8 in my opinion will turn out to be another Vista disappointment. Just a feeling really, but does anyone else think that Microsofts days are numbered? Jon
I got a press version for reviews from them and was not too impressed. Windows 7 will do the job for me, meaning I will not downgrade to Win8.. Oops, I mean upgrade
Haven't upgraded yet, not sure if I'm going to. Though I just started using the new Outlook.com and transferred my gMail account over. I am liking the design standards Microsoft are applying. I'd love to have Win8 installed, but I am very much a power user and I'll have to play around to see if it suits me. $75 billion in revenue, $120 billion in assets and 94000 employees as well as owning enormous brands (Windows, Office, Xbox). It holds the largest market share in operating systems and office software, as well as one of the best selling consoles of all time and the largest email provider. It's not remotely on its way out.
I will not upgrade it unless it is free, but since they want to sell me the upgrade, it won't happen. Next time I buy a laptop it will have windows 8 anyway.
I just upgraded to windows 7 from XP.windows 8 i am not sure ,i think it will take on resources of system, for that i have to get a new Laptop but not such a plan right now
I upgraded. Windows 8 is not and won't be construed as a flop. It was developed with devices in mind rather than your typical desktop. For most users, it won't be necessary, but it does have its perks. Some of their new apps brings a lot of cool features on board, however, it comes at a steep learning curve and some minor incompatibility problems among few programs. My suggestion would be to stick with Windows 7 if you're on the fence because of the money. If you have the money and you want a new and different Windows experience, go for it.
Well to be honest you need to give up on presumptions. I assumed windows 8 was not going to be what Windows 7 turned out to be. A friend of mine installed 8 and it overwhelmed me as that was the first time I looked at tiles.. But then I realized the Metro is just like the start screen only more awesome. Windows 8 is primarily everything Windows 7 is but with faster load times, copying files is quick and better integration and consistency. And you know what he installed it on an older system which had XP which would slow down the computer. So this is seriously better. All the while I had been happy with Win7 and one thing I realized was I had never gone beyond the start menu or deep inside it. Search was the only function I required. I did not think of that until now. So if you can't find anything just search it. Give yourself time only for the sake of a fast and integrated experience. Only advice is to get to know keyboard shortcuts and search often....options and settings have moved but get to know them first! Try it learn it and then find faults. cheers!
Well, to be honest it didn't impressed me well. Windows 7 did all my job as i liked. It seemed to me another windows vista disappointing. Well ill rather say you to w8, let them make their version then you can use it.
I had the same question, I found out it pretty much the same. Windows 8 is just a little fancy for users. They added new features like webcam senors to track your hand movement, like the xbox360
you can upgrade your windows 7 to 8 here with some US dollars .............. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/upgrade-to-windows-8 thanks,
Win 8 is good, but I'm still use Win XP and Linux. I manage file in Linux, and Win XP just for playing the game.
