Have you tried mobile marketing?

With the mobile industry growing at exponential rates, how many sites have integrated a mobile strategy into their marketing plans? If so, how successful has mobile worked for you? If not, why haven't you adopted mobile yet?

Very interested to see what has worked for others in the past.

mmm basically I'm from India. For our country we have a service from Google i.e. Google SMS Channels, with that we're able to send updates, alerts, advertisements directly from our websites via RSS feeds/manually. And the service is totally free. Any many people already adopted the opportunity.

No - not yet. But I guess, as mobile browsing in the Internet is gradually contributing to the search industry, I guess mobile marketing will be another aspect of Internet marketing that in the next couple of years, will be another place of competition among businesses.

It's something I've always wanted to utilize but I honestly have no idea where to begin. The idea of your ads popping up on someones mobile device really interests me. I know it's possible, and I know people who've done it. I know some ways you can market to mobile users is to have mobile apps for your websites. That's one thing I really want to do soon. ;)

I haven't tried mobile marketing but it would be a good idea to get into that market, since mobile devices are the future. I read an article which stated that people are buying less PC and more mobile devices. If you think about it that makes sense, since life is getting more accelerated each day you want to do things wherever you are, not wait until you get back home.

I have not used mobile marketing. It is something that seems to be interesting (as long as it does not have a negative effect on people ex:cancer for example). However, I am not sure whether or not cell phones cause cancer.

Lately, I have been focusing on using seo for my sites. With mobile marketing, there appears to be a cost involved. Concerning the conversion rate, it seems that it is not the highest from what I have heard from a person. I don't know if he used only one method or several to drive mobile traffic though.

mobile marketing is a big part of our local business. We see around 20-25% of our local searches coming in from smartphones. It also allows you to get a lot more calls since your phone number will become click able and much easier to call. If your into local marketing mobile is a big deal.

Now a days mobile users are increased so we can target this user for marketing purpose. We can send small sms to mobile user. If user is interested so they can contact immediately otherwise they will delete this message.
