Have you tried Kontera?

Has anyone tried Kontera? It is a service almost similar to Google AdSense with an additional tool of contextual links.

But I think if you are using ASense, you cannot place the text ads from Kontera on those pages, as they appear similar and it would be against the Google ToS. But contextual links should be fine...

Does nayone have experience with Kontera? It is supposed to be related to Yahoo, as before you are accepted, you must be approved by Yahoo! I am not really sure of their relationship.

I am using Kontera in my sites and feel that the contextual links are performing well...

How does Kontera pay in comparison to Adsense?

As far as I can see there is no info about tax requirements, but that can be on other pages during the registration process. Should be mentioned in the Q&A section though

The problem that all the adsense competitors have is that they have a tiny number of advertisers compared to adsense.

It doesn't matter how good your contextual advertising code is, if you've not got enough advertisers you won't have good adverts to show. I'm sure this is the problem Yahoo is facing too.

I see, so its not really worth it to switch over from adsense.

So let me make sure I get this right...

I can use this along with AdSense on my page, ONLY IF I use the link ads and not the contectual ads. What I mean is the links that they put on your page back to other people?

Thanks for sharing that, inXorable. I wasn't sure about it too at first, and you saved me the trouble of having to email Google :p
