I just signed up for adbrite and bought ads on 5 sites. I am only getting traffic from one of them! about 5-10 uniques a day, the rest of them aren't bringing anything in.. UGH! the best luck I've had so far is using YPM and Adwords as well as article submissions..

I also (probably stupidly) just paid $300 for a 3 month advertisement on an Alexa rated site 4,800 and havent' received 1 visitor.. go figure!

Still trying to figure all this out!

    Cheers,
    Lindsey

I tried adbrite for quite a while. Many of the websites had decent traffic. I spent time looking and repurchases statistics, costs, etc. It didnt' matter. There were some sites that sent traffic. I got not one sale.

A lot of people here are looking to make money off adsense, and maybe it works for click-thrus. You can get traffic for maybe .01 per visitor. I don't do that. I wanted sales.

I've had better luck writing articles. Traffic is up, search engine ranking has increased, and I'm finally starting to see sales for products that I don't advertise.
