I sometimes talk with myself while looking at the mirror. Tell about how silly I am, how cool I am, supporting myself for troubleshooting, or everything. I live with my Pa, Ma, and little bro. But rarely talk to them. Perhaps that's the reason why I talk to myself sometimes. Do you guys experience the same thing? Share yours here..
I don't really talk to myself in the mirror, but I do talk to myself explaining certain things I am doing, if that makes sense. It's kinda similar to the "rubber duck programming" where they explain their code to a rubber duck to double check.
Yes I talk to myself. I motivate myself, give suggestions to myself and sometimes I laugh with myself.
Talking to yourself is perfectly normal and is not a sign of insanity. Some people talk to themselves on occasion as a way to relieve loneliness. After all, who is your best friend if not yourself? Others do it as they are in a position where there is too much silence in their lives. (living alone) As to myself I do it when I require an outer dialogue along with some privacy. I am not in a habit of consulting others, but prefer to rely on my own opinions. If I have an important decision to make I might come out with something like: "Yes, I'm going to do it!"
Yes , i always talk to myself when I get chance to do that.Particularly in front of mirror i like to do this.
It's not like most people talk to them selves because they're lonely, I think it's more like thinking out loud, or discussing it with yourself like you said, ESPECIALLY if it's an important decision. Most people I know do this, so I think it would actually be weirder to NOT talk to yourself lol. Either that or I have some weird ass friends.
I think that is normal for introverts, like me. Not a single day would pass without talking to myself whether in front of a mirror or in some place alone. And it helps in being conscious or aware of what I did, am doing or about to do or say.
I'm always talking to myself when at work (not too loud, or people might wonder!), mainly to go over work I'm doing. I find it helps to clarify my thoughts to verbalise something I'm planning to do.
