Anyone ever experienced any page from Google not load for reason of their server being down. I know they have milions of backup servers etc, but possibly someone was a witness to this Google failure. You know, something like MS windows when they were releasing 98.

The last time I remember here at Spain was two years ago. I think Google was dow aprox. two hours, and ads were showing an horrible HTML error message.

No it can't happen unless all the servers failed. They are hosted at 100% uptime. They have backups of their backups so failure is virtually impossible.

It happens occasionally. Having a lot of servers does not mean the service cannot go down. There are many more factors involved.

It is much less likely to happen now because of the better servers they now use. I know a few people report here from time to time that they cannot access google. Its not for very long because it is usually sorted out pretty rapidly.

When a company worthing billions is doing biz on the net, I can't imagine not doing whatever it takes to make sure it won't happen...

    Hi all,

Yeah it happenes to me these last days, for a very short
period of time, but I think it's because of Internet Explorer
    version 6.

I simply close IE and open it once again (google wouldn't
be back if I did not do that) I think there is no such problem
with people using the IE 7, oh and also, last two weeks I had
some serious hard time trying to access the Adsense Login
page, no matter what I did, it wouldn't show at all (just like
    Overture's Keyword Selector Tool...)

For the moment it works, so thank god f'r that.

    SSG.
