Have you ever reported spam sites?

Did you ever use the Spam Report Form at Google Webmaster Central to report a spammy site? What were your reasons? Did you see results?

 

If I see sites that have scraped my site I report them. What happens when you report to Google is that they often not remove the sites at once. They put the info into their algorithm and use it to learn, then later the algorithm will kill the site.

 

I do sometimes, didn't see result yet.

Just to let you know, there is a Firefox Add-on to make easier the spam report

 

i do it before but nothing happened

 

i have reported many web sites which are making spam but i did not see any result . they continue making spam

 

Google doesn't do much because 85% of the spam reports are nothing more than webmasters reporting another webmaster's site for simply outranking them. The webmaster see's a few keywords or phrases in bold or underlined and assume thats what caused the rankings and try to report it.

 

No matter how much you report.. there will always be spam sites..
So I just forget about them.. and move on..

 

I reported one site and they were out for two weeks. They were using hidden text. Now they have removed the hidden text and they are back in the ranking again.

 

I have reported some sites in past, never checked back if the action were taken or not.

 

well this is informative for me . I never use it though but will start using. Seems like its working

I hate spam and some sites trouble me at times.

Ya I have Reported about 1-2 sites till date because they were about Click Exchange
I dont know about the Results though

why waste my time, and baby about spam sites

 

I hate when I'm looking for something but end up at a cloaked site. I don't report them because I don't think one report would make a significant difference..
