Have you ever lost your BLOG ???

if you didn't lost your blog during writting and publishing than you are lucky enough, but luck is not always on our side.Sometime blogger is triky and suddenly you lost your post or entire blog and your world is gona dark, but need not to worry, for every problem ther is a solution.You can save your blog, before this gona happen, not only on blogger ,but also on wordpress, Moveable Type and typepad.I got these info from net and i m going to summarise it here.

By using offline browser utilities you can save your all blog on your hard disk.Some good utilities are ,for Windows HTTrack http://www.httrack.com/ , and for macintosh WEB Grabber http://www.epicware.com/webgrabber.html is good.

Put your blog in two places.Blogger and multiply, and its autosynchronise.When ever you write the post in blogger it will automatically grab by Multiply http://multiply.com/ .Another good way to save your blog.

Simply E-mail yourself
Send an copy of your post to your self.If you want that automatically your post will come in your inbox than use Digital Inspiration http://labnol.blogspot.com/2005/11/methods-to-backup-your-weblog.html .There are tips which tell you ways to backup your blog and posts, among which there are instructions that how to configure your blog settings , so you can recive your mail from blogger.

W.Blogger
Another good tool.W.Blogger http://www.wbloggar.com/ , its a freeware tool which allows you to write your post offline, so you can write your post without this thig in mind that it can be lost, its recommended to use this instead of wordpad.

what tool do you use to backup your blog on WP ?

 

I had blogged about such a script a while back, it works not only for wordpress blogs but also backs up any other mysql db you want to backup. Automated mysql database backup script
