Steve Martin, one of the most amazing entertainers ever, simply in terms of his longevity (he has been a popular entertainer in FIVE decades, amazing), once advised: If you're getting mugged or robbed, simply throw up on your money. That should diffuse the situation.
Yes I've been rob by 3 guys. To make the story short I fight but still they took my bag. So sad.... There's a lot of special things on that bag ....
Yeah, I have. The really messed up part about it is that it was a "friend" that set me up to get robbed. He had people break in my house rob me at gunpoint. All for some clothes and music CD's. But it's cool, because they never found his body.
My Salon has been robbed four times - first time took the safe and all. The second time I had the safe bolted to the floor - they pryed it up and carted it off. The third and fourth times, they got no money but broke the door and searched. Also had a radio lifted out of my car while left overnight in a dealership - took a year to get reimbursed. Had my Sonata taken from my driveway - found it 3 days later with $18,000 in damages. Had my house broken into and lifted all my two dollar bills and silver dollars - probably the housekeeper. Had my fog lights removed from my Honda Civic while playing 3 hole golf - didn't notice until on the ride home. Yes, I've been robbed. I live in St. Louis.
Never . I tried to bait some robbers last week at my property in the countryside by leaving the door opened but none came . I was never robed prolly because I'm 6.5 feet tall and I've been a body builder since I was 15 and I've been practicing kung-fu shaolin since I was 17 . Being a gun aficionado also helps . The guy that tried to steal something from me got some holes his legs . I had some assholes trying to come at me in traffic . They came out whit a bat an a army knife and left running whit 2 side windows shattered ; all it took was one bullet .
When I was in college I lived in a cheap townhouse with a school mate. One Friday I had a very busy day at school; I had an exam and didn't sleep the night before because I was studying, so when I came home, I just went to bed at about 6pm. And, my roommate was working at his part time job, so all the lights were off in the house. At around 9pm, I heard a noise. Someone coming up the stairs. Wearing shoes. My roommate was kind of a weird guy. He was a slob who would not wash the dishes ever and puke on the toilet and not clean it up, but he had a rule that nobody could wear shoes in the house. So it wasn't him. I got out of bed (naked!), grabbed my baseball bat (I always keep it handy) and just then the door to my room opened and there was a guy there. He saw me and ran back down the stairs, followed by another guy who was in my roommate's room, then out the back. I saw them from my window. Everything had happened in a blur up to that point, but at that moment I absorbed what had just happened and headed downstairs to pour myself a stiff drink. Thankfully they didn't end up actually taking anything. I think they were just making sure nobody was home first.
