I was going to try something new with my adwords campaign so I added the content option. I was going to try it because you can place a different bid amount vs search bid.

Well I must have entered $21.00 instead of 21 cents becuase the next time I had checked I had spent $45.00 for 9 Clicks!!!! I am just sick!

Lesson learned, from now on double check the bid amounts. I am just lucky I checked as soon as I did or I don't want to think of how much I would owe!!

I always use the advanced search and filtering after I set a campaign and search for keyword bids that are higher than a certain amount. This prevents these kinds of errors/surprises.

Yikes! I once typed in 5 ($5) instead of 0.5 (5 cents) but luckily I caught it that same day. Google should have an option for to flag the user if the bids are accidentally set above a certain threshold.

    So you are saying:

Google only does what you tell it to do, not what you want it to do :)

I would allways limit the daily budget for new campaigns in order to avoid this issue. Then you can never spend more then your daily budget.
