How many of your have (or will be soon) making your website(s) easily viewed with a handheld device such as a blackberry or treo?

I just finished converting all of our corporate sites and my own personal site to be "mobile friendly" so the pages have zero or nearly no graphics and they are reformatted to fit on a 320x320 screen.

I'm just curious if anyone else has taken the plunge?

I have, though it really isn't much of a plunge. Nothing on the original site should need to be touched. I simply added a new style sheet for the handheld media type and made a comparable, but lightweight design.

In theory my site should be usable on a hand held, however, since I do not own a handheld that I can test my site on I have no idea how well it really does work. Some of my newer sites have alot more "in theory" enhancements for handhelds.

You can always go to a Cingular or Sprint store and test it out ;)

My figuring is vendors of small screen devices should provide free emulators that accurately reflect how pages function on their various handheld devices and how their devices behave and I'm not talking about Opera's half assed small screen emulation mode.

The reality is that I really don't see the economic benefit in spending too much effort optimizing for the small screen.
