For what it's worth, the domain renewal problems at this "company" are mostly being caused because of their prior status as an Enom reseller. When they became an accredited registrar themselves, they made the decision to transfer all Enom registrations to their own company name registration at renewal time- but the problem is that this can take up to 6-8 weeks sometimes. SO in the meantime, they park the domain and collect all the PPC cash.

Not much you can do really. I was lucky enough to renew manually early, and my site never went down.

Now I'm sttruggling with trying to get it transferred to a more responsible registrar. That's a whole other story- they've put a lockdown on the domain so it fails any transfer requests. THis is against ICANN regulations.

I've never had any issues with like this. The lock and unlock is in the control panel.

    Thanks,

The lock and unlock does not work if they disable it. Glad you have not had any problems, doesnt' take away from the fact that countless people have LOST their domains because of this companies supreme incompetence

I was able to transfer out a large portion of my domains :) I am so relieved.

However, here are the current problems.

Domains that are in ENOMS control don’t seem to transfer out, registerfly controlled ones do transfer out...

But... registerfly domains don’t renew, where enom ones are transferred to their system in 5-7 days which automatically renew.

So, like me you are faced with a decision , loose your domain or transfer out, I think its obvious what I did.

Therefore, its a maze to loosing your domains

Any idea what to do with the ENOM ones now ?

2 domains that i had were up for renewal with registerfly, after paying for renewals and nothing happening I started to worry, after all i heard all these horror stories of registerfly not renewing domains and customers losing their websites.
As my website webmastersforums.net was a pr5 i realy did not want this to happen to me.
Anyway a friend mentioned that the only way he got registerfly to respond was to set up an auto post (via firefox browser) so that a support ticket was sent every 5 seconds.
I did this and after half an hour of sending the same ticket every 5 seconds.. guess what!! they responded.
I got both domains renewed and as soon asthis was done transfered both domains away from registerfly for good.

I read about another person who tried that and was locked out of his account. Too scared for that to happen and for me to wait 2 weeks to get back into my account... thats what these horror stories do to you.

The issue is with trying to renew them now. When do they expire/up for renewal?

Have a lot of domains with registerfly. No big problems so far. Sometime you have to try to register domains over and over again as they fail without any special reason.

Have never renewed any domains with them however.
