Well after seeing a ton of threads in this forum complaining about unread pm's I have a solution which should clear your unread pm's which you've allready read.

This should reset your read undread pm's to 0 , it may not solve all your pm problems just now but I hope it helps.

Not sure if this works on this forum or not, but worth a try.

but that is a db error if you see when traffic is more then these kinda pm unread , thread status not updating will occur

Yep the other issues are database problems, but the unread PM bug is known in VB, so i thought this would healp at least clear peoples unread pm's if nothing else.

Allthough in this case it's probably database related, but worth a try at least, i just hope it helps.

We had this problem a few months back and now it started again anyways your tip worked for me

 

Glad it worked for you, hasn't done for me unfortunately I got a pm so I was able to test it, least I tried.

However for other times you get unread pms (when you have read them all) when there aren't any database issues this may still work.

If it works for anyone else let us know...

 

there are other problems too because of DB issues. like the PMs will appear in your PM inbox only after 10 or 15 mins. However, you will receive the email instantly.

Actually ignore my last comment about it not working, the tip worked for me seemingly, there will be a lag for a while which is why i thought it didnt work, ive only just noticed the pm's have stopped popping up.

I just saw a notification popup saying I've a new PM, but when I go to inbox, that certain pm is not appearing.. SO WEIRD

 

Everyones having that problem, pms take anywhere from 10-20 mins to appear, then they dont go away once you read them, but my tip will clear the unread ones there will be a 10-20 lag before they are cleared.

 

In fact your solution is the best way to go (or try) while DP problems are resolved, thanks for sharing this.

Well the pm problems seem to have sorted themselves out...for now at least

I got a pm just now and it cleared straight away.

 

I am not able to move pm's into different folders, are others having this issue ?

 

again its causing i got mails but not in pm inbox
