I’m sure every one of us has one way or another received spam mails regarding “easy internet money making”, “affiliate program”, “free traffic”, etc. I’m sure some of them might be genuine and helpful. The question is have you been lured to subscribe or buy any of this stuff? What is the outcome or benefit after you’ve subscribed to it?

Before i was less smart i got trapped losts - all i had to do was submit my email for a newsletter of something i was interested in or download some new free whiz bang money making report. The report turns out be useless and then you are forever trying to get yourself unsubcribed from their email list that they spam or gets sold and passed around........

So if sign up for such things always use a second or third email address that is not your main one so its ok if u get spammed :)

I'm experiencing this too, sometimes my inbox is full with some useless product launch info created by so called 'guru' which turned out to be scam :(...

    autotick,
I just have a separate gmail account just for this type of thing. Since you can "create" a new gmail address on the fly by adding "+", I can create separate folders to track who they give my address to.

For instance, if my email address is 1234(at)gmail.com, I would enter 1234+spammername(at)gmail.com. This works like 99% of the time, just sometimes they are wise to the "+" and consider it a non-valid email address.
