Have top banner with just text ads...use to have images and text... Then have link ads under and above the banner text...get most of my clicks here... have the horizontal one on the side...text banner...really no clicks with this...maybe yall can tell me why....but the color and backgrond is not what I had..i changed that today..add it blended....with the text matching the green color...trying something different... I feel my setup for my ads dont look that good..but like i said i made almost 400$, 100 and some change on every payout (monthly)....from google traffic.... give me some advice on ad placement please site I have ads is: www.officialmixtapetutorials.com
I think you are not getting clicks from your horizontal (column) banner because it's kind of invisible. I was checking your site, and didn't see this banner immediately. Also it didn't capture my attention. Why don't you try placing the banner right underneath the Google Search box? Maybe this would help. Also, the problem could be that you have a lot of small images above the banner. My eyes kept paying attention to the images of "Followers", the circular icons below the search box, and the donate section rather than the horizontal banner. Good luck.

Your site is very nice, but I know you aren't looking for handouts or gold stars in that respect. But you do have it going on! First of all, too much blank gray area on the right hand side. Fill that in with text, images, links to content or something. Second, don't put so much of your posts on one page. Make the visitor click to get more. Lastly, the coloring of your ad. Bump the ad down further into the gray area of the page - out of the black edge. Change the background of your ad to the same gray that your page is. It will look much nice. Hope this helps, just my opinions (free of charge, of course ) PS, one more thing. I think you should remove the BOOKMARK this icons from the first page and save them for the bottoms of the WHOLE articles. Nobody would want to bookmark part of an article, right? And this will tidy up the page a little as well.
