You should take measures to reduce the fraudulent leads. Search the forums as there are some nice posts about this as I remember. You can also work together with your AM to make it work. Good luck

    Hi Kebody,

Affiliate networks will cancel the accounts of incentive affiliates who generate too many fraudulent leads because the real cost of these fraudulent leads is much more than the CPA rate you are getting. So even if all of the fraudulent leads are reversed, the merchant still loses money.

For example, let me use a Hoodia trial campaign as an example. When a person signs up for this campaign, the affiliate might get $30 for the lead from the merchant. The merchant sends out a trial of Hoodia to the person who signed up, which might cost the merchant $50. So the total cost to the merchant was $80 for this lead.

If it turns out the signup was fraudulent, the merchant can reverse the lead and save that $30, but he's still paid $50 to send out the product that he cannot get back. To top if off, if a stolen credit card was used, the merchant can also face a penalty from the credit card processor.

When this happens too many times, one of two things will happen. Either the merchant will get extremely angry and not even pay the network for the good leads that were generated. Or worse, the merchant will go bankrupt. Networks don't want to see either happen, and the only solution is to prevent fraud from even happening in the first place.

That's why incentive affiliates who generate too much fraud are kicked out of networks.

One of the major problems with GPT sites is that some subscribers sign up for the same offer multiple times which destroys your rep with networks and risks your account being terminated.

A good way around this is to only display the offer once to the same user. Once they have signed up for that particular offer, they can no longer access it. Off course this isn't full proof as the frauders out there come up with an array of wonderful new ways to cheat.

Simple answer to this is that all networks will ban you if you have a large volume of fraud leads. As you will be giving incentives to your visitors, that normally means they have to signup to your site for you to track what leads they have done. Due to this, it's also your job to track your members that keep making fraud leads and ban them. The less fraud leads that get through your system the better. To many fraud leads will get you banned from most and if not all networks, even a few is bad enough.

The short and easy answer to this is ...Generate better quality traffic!
Choose a different path of promotion that will allow you to generate the traffic that is needed to be successful.

Now granted there will always be the possibility of fraudulent leads coming from your traffic, but you have the ability to greatly reduce this.

Now that was not so hard was it? :)
