    Last time I tried to sell a site here my ad was removed from the site selling forum because "it was not the correct place for my site".

    My question is where on the board is the correct place to sell an adult themed site if not in the (buy, sell or trade) sites forum?

    Adult sites has special section in the Buy/Sell/Trade (Marketplace). It should be listed in Adult category available in:
    Buy/Sell/Trade (Marketplace) => Other => Adult.

    If you listed adult sites in other categories, it would be removed (and sometime you would receive warning for listing it in wrong categories).
