Have i found the answer to SEO:

I have 60 posts on my blog. After each post i ping it. Say i get up to 1000 posts, can i expect to have ten times the traffic, then i currently have at 60 posts.

Is it all about the amount of content, if im always pinging?

But if i create a really really really lot of content, and submit it. Don't i have a better chance of success with SEO?

 

SEO is a complex thing and it changes constantly, its not just content we're talking, its also about having good backlinks and proper optimization. just read more and learn.

content is a very important aspect of SEO, but it is not always the amount of content that you have, as the quality of the content. You can have 1,000,000 posts, but if no one is reading them, it is not doing its job. If the content you have is indeed good content, you should work on getting good backlinks to your sites from authoritative sites in the industry that your blog is about.

 

It's not just the amount of the content you have, but also its quality and getting the word out. If you write lots of killer content and just pray to your creator that the pages will rank #1 in each of the major search engines all the time, you're going to be sorely disappointed.

In addition to optimizing your pages for your users (which includes the search engines), you also have to promote your site. Afterall, nobody will know how great you are if you don't tell them (and then prove it), right?

 

So how do i increase backlinks? is it directory submissions and buying links?

 

Yes thats part of it, also write somthing people want to quote, they will then link to you because you know your subject and they want their site visitors to share what you know.

The good thing is that you are creating content in the first place.

Most people are lazy and attempt to just rehash existing content from other sites.

 

i think you must not expect unebelieveable traffic from pings.

it will increase your traffic but no so much

 

And then most likely only for a short time. It's a get-rich-quick (and then blow it all on women and booze) scheme, something I most definately do NOT advocate.

Focus on writing judicious amounts high quality content on a regular basis then promote it.
