Have I Been Removed From Google?

    OK I run a small online mobile phone retailing business - Phone Source - and well I used to be indexed by google and whilst not well ranked I'd often fall into the second or third pages for loads of keywords and phrases but today I was looking into things a little bit and realised that unless I virtually type in my domain name my site doesn't come up in any listings. This is amazing because I find that my listings in search engines like MSN have all reach the top 10 for loads of keywords and phrases yet I don't understand why I seem to have been removed from google. Is there someone I can contact or something I can do to be relisted? I haven't really changed anything over the last few weeks it has virtually just been sitting there. Also I just noticed that all my pages have lost their google PR. Most of my pages had google PRs of 2 and my homepage had a PR of 3... they are now all 0?

    I haven't really had this problem before with my sites and I'm not the world's most experienced webmaster so any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks.

    You still have PR3 so you're not banned.

    Request a site review, there's plenty that can be done with your site.

    pshh.....obviously your not banned from google if you're in their search engine. However, if what you said about keywords is true and now it isn't like that, then you have lost a lot of links back to your website. Use the following tool to view how many links you have and such:
    http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/default.htm

    It's a pretty good tool, however the MSN Links back to you can change in a day, and if you're worried about the Google Search Engine, then look at how many pages have been indexed by google that link to you, since your Page Rank goes up due to that!

    No not at all. Try link:yoursite.com in google and if you get even a single result then you are not banned.

    i dunno about that actually. i had a site banned about a year ago. traffic from goog went from apx 2000/day unique to 0 overnight with no change in the toolbar PR. after the next pr update several weeks later the pr went to grey bar.

    no it's becoming a dribbly old woman who can't help repeating herself. that or shouting... narcism is a much nicer way of looking at it. I think I'll run with that :)

    So we cna concluded that my site isn't banned... but according to Sarah is in need of a review - hint taken and I will post a thread now asking for a review - Sarah please feel free to coment.

    EDIT: Well it appears that the thread has been moved for me - so I guess I will open the floor for general suggestions and critiques, any and all responses are always appreciated. Thanks.

    Ok. lets start at the top

    First up you're using frontpage or dreamweaver to create the page. That's ok provided you can understand the code it creates and fix it!
    1. you don't have anything before the doctype declaration but you have
      <!-- secure.ashop.com.au --><!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">

      Code (markup):
    2. you are using a stylesheet, you are using tags so why add the style stuff, ok there are always going to be exceptions, but not right at the top of your home page, surely?
      <h1 align="right" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 8pt; font-weight:400;margin-top: 0 ;margin-bottom: 0 ">
      Code (markup):
    3. Xenu can index your site but poodle predictor has problems with some of it's scans, but not with others. That it has problems at all would cause me concern. Here's a link you have on your page
      <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><SPAN
      style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: black; FONT-FAMILY: Arial"><FONT size=1><A
      title="Nokia Mobile Phones"
      href="http://www.phonesource.com.au/c/4877/1/nokia-mobile-phones.html"><FONT
      color=#000000>Nokia</FONT></A>
      Code (markup):
      all that font and style stuff should be in the stylesheet and not on the page. Don't make the bots work any harder than necessary.

      Additionally you have the order of the font and a tags all wonky, the one that opens first should close last etc so you have <font><a></font></a> and it should be <font><a></a></font>

    but the good news is that your site looks good and it's just the construction that needs to change, and that's relatively easy :)
