I have been doing a couple of things in the backend of WordPress (nothing I normally wouldn't) and my homepage seems to have pretty much disappeared - well everything in the center of the page anyway. Just half an hour ago I asked a few questions on these forums and I am worried that someone has hacked me. If not then any ideas what is going on? The site is called http://www.comparebookies.com and I am pretty desparate to get it back online so any prompt responses will be very much appreciated!
The thing is - i wasn't in the Wordpress editor at all at the time so i don't know how i could have broken it! Has anyone got any ideas cos I really need to get the site back up!
yeah theyre all still where they should be - this is not good! any chance I could have a quick chat on gchat?!!!!!!!
Did you install any plugins? If so, disable them. What about .htaccess? Were you playing with the functions.php file of your theme? Did you change the static homepage of your theme? There's lots that could have changed.
I've sorted this matter. Somehow, the PHP code to include his widgets was completely removed from the index.php file.
Your website is not showing signs of being infected. probably some plugin is making all non-sense. Turn off all the plugins and enable them one by one, you will easily odd one out.
