Have I been click bombed?

I'm a little bit shaken up. Today while updating some posts on my forum, I noticed that my earnings sky rocketed from 6.49 to 17.53 . I checked my records on google analytics and it showed that somebody from an un-set location clicked one of my ads 23 times! Adsense immediately took the invalid clicks away. But I'm scared now that my account may get disabled/banned.

I'll give you all my stats, please tell me if I have reason to worry:

I get about 2,500 Unique visitors a day. On average 1,366 clicks a month and on average 44 clicks a day. Some days I'll have 70+ clicks, and some days I'll only get 25... All depends on if there is fresh material or not.

So far today my click through rate is at 1.13% which is a little high since my average usually hovers around .75% although some days I do get around 1.03% or so... I do think that by the end of the day it will be back to around .80% for my click through rate though, because it has been steadily regressing.

In total today I am at 64 clicks so far, and of those 64, 23 of them were invalid. I have about 1,700 Unique visitors so far today as well...

I wanted to report this to adsense, but after reading so much about this topic.. I notice that often times people report things and that results in a ban. and people have not reported and they have just slid under the radar since it was one isolated incident... But at the same time if reporting it will keep my account from getting banned. I would rather just report it. Because I truthfully don't have anything to hide. Please. I would like some input on this.

how long you been using adsense on that site ?
I wouldn't be bothered too much if Adsense been placed there for more than 2 yrs.
However, if it is pretty new (under 6 mths), i will keep a record of all the activities of this incident, and send an email to Adsense support.

Well that's 1 good year. I assumed you been receiving regular payments from Google.

I won't be too paranoid over the clicks, but will advice you to keep a record of the activities of the "click bomb" issue.
However if you encounter the same problem over the next few days, your best bet is to notify Google Adsense team.

But that's just my opinion, and it definitely isn't an expert view.

Thanks for your input! Really appreciate it. And yes I receive regular payments from them about 300-400 each month so far

Google isn't stupid man. They have their filters. You could simply pop on your competion site and spam click them to put them on trouble. :) Don't worry about it and let it go, they will trash away the fake clicks, they check ip etc

Then how come I see so many cases of people getting their accounts taken away because they have been click bombed? Thanks for responding by the way!

Because most of them are liars and clicked the ads themselves but don't want to admit it instead they want to claim they done nothing wrong and Google did. Don't worry about it, I got click bombed by some jealous loser from Indonesia that I got into an argument with here on DP and Google didn't ban me. They can tell the difference. If it continues maybe you should disable ads on the site using your allowed sites option at Adsense. You can leave the ads on the site just turn it off there so advertisers are not charged for the clicks but the ads are still there rather than having an empty space on your site.

People get banned when they try to click on their own ads. Google earn millions every day , they have a bad ass tested system to prevent you to mess with them and with their customers.

It seems a fraud click. Take care and reconsider to contact adsense since a ban is the answer. It's confused to adsense policy, if a publishers ask or report on a click fraud at their blog, then adsense award them a ban! This is many publishers real experience. Adsense should explain it
