Have HostGator 600gb plan....will they really let me use that much?

    it is shared hosting and 600GB means they are oversellers

    Nope, you can't do that...and using general shared hosting for backup purposes isn't allowed by 99% hosts.

    well it's not necessarily a backup...i am putting it up for a few people to access through a website.

    i guess ill just fill up and see if they say anything...i even spoke with live support and saved the conversation where they said i can use the full 600gb

    Yeah, of course sales is trained to say you can use what's advertised, otherwise no one would sign up.
