Have EZineArticles changed their policies

..or are thye just a bunch of *&^%$^. First off, sorry if this is the wrong forum, mods please move if needed. I spent last week submitting 24 articles to EA for my Clickbank and EPN sites. Guess what - 2 days into this week and 2 accepted - 5 rejected. Seems like the EPN sites are getting rejected, Clickbank product sites are ok - so far. EPN sites are in Joomla not BANS and have content so i dont see the issue. This one for example got through once, and then rejected another twice!! Thing is I've had 2 articles rejected for a site and 1 accepted - same resource box - copy and paste job. The list of exclusions gets more bizarre every day and I'm almost at the point of giving up - I think they are basically incompetent, especially when I see some of the absolute rubbish they allow through. Anyone else noticed this or am I being victimised

    The website is not loading.

Also what's the reason for declining articles? And what kind of articles you are writing? Promotion and all that stuff is not allowed...

Website seems fine now, probably just a temporary glitch

    Heres the reply from EA

    and the resource box

As I said, this is exactly the same resource box as was approved on an article yesterday. The article itself is an informative piece about Breitling watches, 100% original and Copyscape checked. Same for 3 other articles. The only common thing is they point to Joomla sites which are EPN affiliate sites but have content as well - just check them out.

Sorry BM , I dont quite understand

If that were the case I reckon they would have about 50 articles left on their site! Almost everything I look at is for a CB or affiliate product website

Its the lack of consistency, and the fact that they takes absolutely ages to respond to e-mails that frustrates me. I've basically just started re-submitting the article in the hope that a less fussy editor checks them. I guess its only a matter of time before my a$$ gets banned, but to be honest its no worse than where I am just now.

Make sure you're not trying to sell your site....like

    No Promos

Make it more informational and factual like....

More fact based. teach them something even if they already know it.

This worked for me and is how I got platinum author level after 10 articles on the first try.

Ok, thanks for that. It makes sense.

Do you think therefore that the problem is not with the website but how people are driven there. I got the impression that it was the type of site rather than the contents of the resource box.

There are a lot of things, but the only people that can answer this question is ezinearticles. You have to submit a support ticket. A big problem they have is rookie reviewers that don't know what the hell they're doing and they'll just reject your article for the stated reason above.

You have to submit a support ticket, a senior editor will look at it and if it is a mistake, they'll fix all your articles.

I've been getting a lot of my articles rejected from them as of late.

And its taking them about 1 week or longer to approve or disapprove them. Then when I ask why it was not approved it takes another 5 days for a response. To me they are getting a little sloppy.

My articles that have been getting rejected are about email marketing. I've never had problems with them before until now, and they even dropped my account from expert back to basic and I have over 1,800 articles submitted to them.

I also noticed they must have deleted a lot of my articles because on my author account page one day my article url clicks went from about 8,000 down to around 5,000 overnight.

    Yep, I predict a riot!

I'm actually starting to forget about EA and focus on other sites. Personally I love articlesbase nice interface, no wait for approval, just not the same level of exposure as EA.. but if we all start supporting them.. its only a matter of time

Well guys, the bell is tolling for all of us EPN'ers and even CB affiliates. heres a response from support regarding my disapproved article. I should mention that I also pointed out an article by someone else that went to a bare bones BANS site - no content, just the standard BANS template, and it had been approved just yesterday!

So there you have it - quality website only. That rules out BANS, probably most Wordbay etc ad where does that leave squeeze pages, single redirect affiliate pages etc. The info police are now out.

Oh, and to cap it all, 3 of my other articles to the EXACT SAME SITE got approved today. Its the lack of consistency that bugs me. For my 0.02 I would rather that they just admitted that they employed a bunch of poorly trained monkeys to review our work, and that the whole system was flawed. I believe a case of another site that has grown successful on the hard work of its contributors who is now kicking them in the teeth.

I'm off to articlesbase/buzzle/squidoo from now on!

I'm about to start writing articles, should I start with Ezine or do something else?

What are the main things I need to worry about when writing the articles that link back to my CB websites?

It wants more "informative" content. I've got rejected early in my submitting career. I just made the landing page longer. They want to send traffic to a page with substance. That's all it is. Add some more text to your page.
