I have a domain and the website is being developed, I give it 2 weeks till it’s done. I can put a "coming soon" page if needed. Is there any benefit to waiting till I have the website live before I start directory submissions and social bookmarking campaigns? I could throw some text content, like a paragraph if needed till the site is done. But my goal was to start some of my SEO related campaigns now before the site is done... Thanks guys!
You got it all wrong mate --- You should have asked/opened the thread on this section. If there is time -delete this thread and open it there.
start building links and writing articles as well as other techniques and strategies to obtain relevant worthwhile incoming links it will take some time for the search engines to find the links anyways the sooner you start the better
I wouldn't start until you are live. The crawlers will index your coming soon page and probs not return for a while.
I will say first start your website and start other things. Without good website you never be indexed in the any search engine
Absolutely counter-productive. Directories are likely to refuse your link, and you'll get 'thumbed down' on social bookmarking.
Couldnt have said it better... Finish your site first then submit to build your backlinks thx malcolm
