Have all the BIG Adsense advertisers quit?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by gregdavidson, Mar 1, 2008.

For the past couple of days, it seems that all my clicks have been paying $.15 or under which is weird to me. I actually had quite a few clicks which only paid a couple of cents. Are Adsense advertisers getting smarter or actually quitting their campaigns or am I just having bad luck?

They could, or you may have bad luck. Personally Adsense will slowly come to an end within 2 years.

they didn't quit, they are probably not just advertising on the content network due to low quality traffic and click frauds.

It's basically the first quarter for business's and i'm sure they are cutting business cost's till there tax returns come in. Things will pick up soon.

Google is god and will never go away. :p

gregdavidson, to get what's going on here (at least my little conspiracy theory! ;)), you have to understand what we've been seeing in the news: Google missed earnings (profit) expectations last quarter, so they are needing to prop that up, especially as the online advertising market goes soft (a cyclical thing) this year. I imagine that Google is taking a bigger cut for themselves now.

I think Google also needs to realize that advertising is a huge part of their business if not everything. If they start getting greedy they will eventually suffer or go out of business. It doesn't matter how many people think Google is the greatest.

I just got $1.7 for 83 hits. A few days back it was around $4 for just 60-70 hits. I dont know what's happening my earnings are falling down fastly.

What I make on Adsense in a month can be matched with 1 of my affiliate sales, I wouldn't be sad if I lost Adsense

It really all depends on what type of site it is.
