looking at my adsence stats it says that I have only had 98,000 impressions since I started using adsence 6 months back but thats impossible I have an adsence ad on every page of my forum by my server stats, alexa, quantcast, compete and others I get over 300,000 hits a month by 6 = 24,0000 so my are google's adsence stats off?
Your server stats are going to count bots & scrapers, and Alexa is meaningless. Your Adsense stats will show an accurate count of real people at your site that have javascript enabled... You can be confident that it's pretty accurate in what it's counting & reporting. If you use Analytics you will get better stats that will align more closely with your Adsense impressions - but they'll never match 100%
I also agree with tearabite google page impressions are 100% accurate becuase i am sure your server company is not a billion dollar business
98,000 is not a lot at all and my server saying 300,000 hits a month adsence has to be off there is just no way I could only have had 98,000 impressions in 6 months.
Hits does not equal impressions. Most stats packages will count every image, CSS file, and all other separate files as a hit, which mean you could have over 10 hits while a visitor actually only viewed one page (page impression). Hits are pretty useless stats, if you include 30 images on every page your hits will go up crazy, but that doesn't mean you have that much visitors. Adsense only measures in pageviews. 300,000 hits for 98,000 sounds about right. BTW: Alexa, Quantcast and Compete are all external services that can't do anything more than guess estimates based on the little data they have, they are not accurate. If you want reliable stats, try something like Google Analytics, AWstats or Webalizer.
