Have a question about sharing webhosting info...

Okay I'm having a problem installing this script on my hosting service. So I contacted the guy and asked him if he could help. He asked me for my hosting details so he can have a look at the script himself.

What info should I give him?

    Thanks,

You should give the job to me :D Seriously just give him access to what he needs...If it's a script give him ftp access to the script. Always backup beforehand and check ftp logs after he's finished...But if he has no references and you don't trust him watch out...

You contacted him? From a post on DP? He doesn't have experience with the script or he's going to just install it? If he's got to take a "look" at the script, I would hesitate to give any info. Course Rep and iTrader are somewhat useful.

He's the one who made the script... So he said he could look at it and see why its not working right.

Well doh, if you trust him enough to run his script, give him the keys to test drive it.

He needs access to your ftp and database. So if yu have cpanel, give him your cpanel login for that domain.
