have a domain and want to put wordpress on ftp

    wordpress.com stats is not possible but I see people doing this all the time. I.E. matt cutts.

    how can i get a word press ftp'ed to my own domain and hosting account?

    It would be easier to use the auto install feature of your hosting company.

    I think installing manually or via Fantastico are pretty much just as easy, but that's just me :)

    Once you get WP running on your new site, you'll need to make a backup of the old site (using the backup plugin) and import that into your new host's database. Everything you need is here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress

    ok I found the wordpress script. I installed it and now I have to create a config.php..

    I will take care of that tonight.
