Hello all. I am still in the process of trying to make money in the affiliate game, and am looking for more advice. Since my last thread, I have signed up with HostGator, have bought 2 domains and have uploaded 2 themes for the domains - The Gambler's Toolbox and Affiliate Biz Help. I am also working on a third site as well. Being the affiliate rookie that I am, I am hoping that my fellow DP members can help me make a little (or a lot ) of money as quickly as possible. Whether you make $50 a month or $5000, please give me your two cents on improving my sites and what is currently working for you... Best and/or cheapest way to get traffic to your site? Tools to find a good niche? Tricks or tips to increase ad clickthrough? Anything else that has worked for you.... Your input is greatly appreciated...
Next, sign up with Adwords and drive traffic from there. You will mostly probably loose some money at first, but learn the lessons and make money later on.
Try to find some low competition niches. Easier than trying to fit in with the over saturated niches.
Appreciate the input guys. Does anyone know of a good free tool or website to find good niches? Any advice or opinions on my two existing sites?
Do what ive done, spend between 6 - 8 weeks reading about PPC, AM, landing pages, brainwash yourself with it, im yet to start my first campaign, but very close to it. Research to the extreme. Dont take this the wrong way, but find your own niches, there doesn't have to be a tool for everything, or a trick to do something. Sometimes its right in front of you, theres tons of niches.
I know what you are saying pipes - no offense taken. I learned SEO and internet marketing by doing hours of reading and testing on my own sites. I am also a firm believer of "work smarter, not harder", so if I can get up to speed quicker by asking for advice, I definitely will take advantage of my fellow members' expertise.
