OK so i set-up a new blog cool modified cars but what do I do next?

    1) Pinging - how many ping services should I have and what are the best ones?

    2) Social Bookmarking - again how many place should I bookmark a post and which are the best...besides the obvious ones like digg/delicious/stumble

    3) Blog directories - should I get my blog into a bunch of directories?

    4) RSS Feed sites - should i put my feed in a bunch of places?

really I dont know where to start....so please point me to a good tutorial or give me some good tips

1)You don't want to ping too many because you could get penalized for spam. The best one is really the default one with WP because it pings a bunch of places: http://rpc.pingomatic.com/
This is the list I am currently using on a couple of my blogs:
2)There really isn't a limit to social bookmarking, but one thing to remember is that you will be a lot more successful if you actually use and participate in the sites and not just submit links from your site over and over again. Submitting links from one site too many times could even get you suspended on some sites. Personally, I use Stumbleupon, Reddit, and Twitter on a regular basis and those are my core promoting groups. I still participate in the communities and submit other links that aren't to be sites too.

3)With directories there is no limit- just do as many as you want to- the more the better really, but it can be time consuming because the links are often not worth much...

4)Submitting to some RSS directories would also be a good way to get your content out there, but just remember that you may run into scrapers because of this. I still like to do this at the beginning though because there are ways to deal with the scrapers and I find the net result beneficial.

Let me add one thing: while all of these techniques can help you build links and promote your blog, in the end it will be your CONTENT that makes or breaks you. Make sure you don't sacrifice your content by spending all of your time on promoting because that will do you no good. Good luck with your blog and let us know how things go :)

First of all you need to add quality and unique contents there and then start promoting it through various methods such as web directories-blog directories submissions, using social bookmarking services, commenting on other related blogs and many more.
