HATE LETTER on Valentine's day

    Hey guys,
Is there anyone out there like me who literally hate this Valentine's day??
In my opinion, these Mother's, Father's, Brother's, Sista's, Valentine's and etc. days are just crap because love is not for one day but all 365 days and we should not bound our love and gifts and cards for these days and just not wait for such days to express our love :)
I used to write hate letters for no one but everyone on this Valentine's day few years back so is there anyone else who wanna share their hate letter or hate w0rds ??
It was a cool idea to write a hate letter for the first time 4,5 years back and my friends actually enjoyed it a lot ... It was not 100% in English else i would have shared it with you so hope to write a new one soon and hope to see some creative people out there just like me :p
    Thanks
    PHYza

Roses are red, but there are also pink, white and yellow varieties.
Violets aren't blue, they're violet, hence the name. I've got OCD And my poetry skills are also lacking.

I have a friend who thinks Valentines Day is just a money making scheme for businesses like jewelery stores, shopping malls etc. I got her something and she said, "I'll take it as an early birthday gift". Everyone has a different perspective of what Valentines Day is.

You can start new threads in this http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=80 ,and I believe you will get so many reasons why should we celebrate these religious days,
    why should we celebrate Ramadan?,
    why should we celebrate Diwali?,
    why should we celebrate Christmas?
(For your inforamtion Ramadan is not a festival day,Ramadan is a month name and Muslims celebrate their EID after Ramadan ends and a new month Shawwal starts).

I take it as a reason to celebrate! With so much pressures and tight schedules everyday we only take time to be with the loved ones and I don't see one reason why I shouldn't even if it means commercialization or act of childishness for some!

I shall celebrate it in my own style until my youth dissipates (of course I will ever remain youthful at heart and mind :D:p). I reckon this to be a day to share love and spread love not the otherwise. I am sorry PHYza

Valentine's day sucks. Don't have time for letters and trivial matters.

You write hate letters on the day everyone talks about love? That speaks volumes about your character. Whatever are you gonna do with it?

I respect your opinion. But hate isn't an option.. although valentines day is a lot of cards chocolates and commercial stuff.. the most important thing is love right? And today out of all days couples do something special and go out of their way to show their love.

I'm almost never serious, but I've seen you making some meaningful posts.. this one is just sad.

I just spend my Valentines Day like any other normal day. It's not really a true holiday, so I don't love nor hate it. The only thing I'm celebrating in this particular Valentines Day is the Chinese New Year of the Tiger.

Maybe because some days (or months) are special (holy) to for the people's God and God himself? Like Eid, Xmas, Diwali? doesn't stop you from worshiping God the other 364 days ...

I don't disagree with you completely, but I think whats the harm in celebrating one special day to express your love to the one you love? It does not stop us from expressing our love on the other 364 days(!)..but whats the harm in having an excuse (one day in the whole year i.e), a global 'express your love' day? I mean...its just one day...big deal...enjoy it while you can :)
why so antagonistic to it? It may be true it is for the business people selling cards/jewelery etc etc..again... BIG DEAL! As long as it ain't affecting your own business...why give a rat's ass ?
meh...every person has his own perspective. I just shared mine
ps: Im not a very big fan of Valentine's Day myself.

Yes!!! I also hate this day, but don't have time to write a Hate letter. This is well-popularized by business people to exploit the WEAKNESS of the young people. (Today a flower merchant harvested money like anything).

We have some REAL GOOD REASONS to celebrate Ramadan, Diwali or Christmas etc and please don't count these religious festivals among these stupid so called days like Valentine's day. We just have a strong belief in our respective religions and i don't think so valentine's day have significant religious value...!!!
Not to be sorry .. I am not forcing anyone to do anything .. Everyone got their own way to celebrate things buddy :)
Well hate letters is not what my nature or my character is but that was just a different and creative thing about me that i started.. I neither hate nor love anyone i am just neutral with all the human beings except for my real loved ones so that's not at all something hatred towards people and i even shared it with my friends and even mentioned everything in the end as it was JUST FOR FUN. I respect your opinion too but everyone got their own way of expressing things and i am sure one should have no problem with mine as i don't point out people's stuff ...
Btw if you see, it was a meaningful post too but you just took it in a wrong way so that was also sad for me :)
Never expected this from you as well :p
BTW be kewl and stay kewl and everything else will be kewllllll!!!
There is no harm in celebrating anything and there is even no harm in not celebrating it ... There is no big deal in celebrating it but there is also no such big deal if you just ignore/avoid it by not celebrating it so it's just about different views from different people and once again i am not at all forcing anyone to hate this day or to not celebrate it but i just shared my personal opinion as i personally don't like it and i just wanted to see some more people who are like me and that does'nt mean i disappointed someone or not did what they expected and blah blah
    Thanks a lot to everyone

Honestly I couldn't bring myself to read the rest of your post :D

I just had to say.. logically speaking ramadan diwali and christmas are all festivals that relate to God and religion and valentines day (at its core) is about love... I can prove the existence of love but I cant say for sure whether God exists or not. This world has been torn apart by religion and the only thing that can bind us together happens to be love.

Now honestly speaking i don't feel any good to reply your post because you don't even care to read mine :)
I am not stopping you to spread love and get loved ... Go ahead and be happi :)
This World is not torn apart by religions but people who dun know what religion is and they take Religion as something used to criticize on other people's way of life and religion and i am seriously not pointing any of us or anyone else here but just mentioning a common fact and i myself saw this thing on DP too but it's better to keep your mouth shut thn to fight on those topics because it's of no use for me :)
Well i think so we should keep Religion far away from this thingy as it's nothing relevant to that and giving such examples will be of no use too..
Sowie but you will not read my post again but still i can't help out :p

I love my life partner every day every minute and every sec of my life.
I don't like the idea of celebrating Valentine day.
In my opinion this hype is created by media which only benefits businessmen. Like prices of red roses and red balloons go 10 times high.
Spending my hard earned money on this would be a total waste. I would rather give that money to a needy person.;)

All valentines day is about is stimulating the economy and making money.
Think of all the guys out there spending hundreds of dollars on their girls ect.
