Has Zango cleaned up their act?

    I'm thinking of using them, are they legit these days?
    I read some scary things about them in past years.

    They are legit as in they do pay, they are adware though but it isn't really hard to remove it from your computer

    Reportedly they were slapped pretty hard from government regulators some years ago for unethical practices. They were accused of trying to deceive Internet users into installing zango pop-up software, and then trying to prevent those users from uninstalling it.

    They were fined 3 million dollars, but admited no guilt.

    So yes, while things were shady in the past, they have been "enticed" to abide by some rules now.

    You need not be scared of them ... they are very closely watched by the government and watchdog groups.
