Anyone know if Yahoo is still open?

I have been trying to contact them since Friday to no avail.

    Has MSN bought them?

Maybe yahoo doesn't care so they take their time when replying.

Maybe their Customer Support department was in BETA like YPN (which should be closed too).

I read somewhere that their customer support was just moved overseas.

YHOO has customer service? I hadn't even heard ;-)

Most likely those people were laid off. Sad, but until a better run and better capitalized company takes YHOO over, they are bound to continue slipping downhill :-(

What are you trying to contact them about? If you're trying to contact Yahoo about anything other than becoming an advertiser in their YPN network they're not interested in talking to you. However, if you are advertising in YPN their phone support has always been exceptional from my experiences.

Yes they do have customer support but you will need the utmost patience dealing with them. Not them only I guess, all these big Internet companies have the same problem.

Yahoo customer service has really gone downhill - no wonder they are have financial difficulty.

I paid $299 for another directory review about 3 weeks ago. I got an email in very broken English saying (I think) that they couldn't get to the site. I use a site monitoring service, so I know the site wasn't down. Their TOS states that even if they decline a listing, you can have a second evaluation. I've sent numerous emails and received nothing but an automated reply saying I would get a response within 24 hours. That was a week ago.

So I called Yahoo and was told (by two different people) that they have no way of contacting the yahoo directory staff? They both suggested I do a chargeback on my credit card. I suppose if I do that, they will blacklist the domain from getting listed. Unbelievable.

It depends on your luck, sometimes you get very good customer support who would follow up for you, sometimes you just get those who give you standard script answers which are extremely frustrating.

I have 15 other directory listings. No real problems with the others, which is why I said their support has gone downhill - probably because of all the staffing cuts they have just made.
