For the past couple of days I've been commenting on Wordpress blog postings to help increase my backlinks to my site. Today, I tried posting comments on a few posts and it seems that my posts aren't going through. Does this mean that Wordpress has my website blocked? Please not that I am referring the to the wordpress blogs that are hosted on Wordpress.org.
Perhaps those individual blogs have their settings organised so that only registered cusers have their comments appear automatically, or that all comemnts are moderated first? Is it the same blogs you're trying to post, or different ones?
I think it is most likely that the comments are set to be moderated. That is the way mine are set up to prevent spam. If they look spammy, I just delete them.
Yeah, I think they did block me. I changed my URL and the comments go through then. If the comment goes through you will see your comment in moderation. If it doesn't go through you are redirected to the top of blog's page. I guess I learned my lesson the hard way. You should only limit your comment postings to about 20 a day. I was doing about 50 or 100 a day which I guess Wordpress identifies as spam.
how because 1. im a blogger and 2. anybody who runs a website knows what no=follow links are or at least they should do
I use no follow for many of my sites to prevent commenter's from seeking out backlinks and the ones that don't understand nofollow are heavily moderated. Nofollow is a big thing and even wikipedia does it. You can find the wonderful resource here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nofollow
What's the point of adding URL area on the comment form? I was wondering why the creator of this software has a 0 PR. You can see his website at http://www.prbacklinksgenerator.com
the point is that if you post a good comment then you have the chance of other visitors clickiing through to your website
Honestly, I never even knew that there were website links in the comments. What wordpress should do is make your website link obvious on the bottom of your comment instead of adding it to your name. Maybe then you will get traffic from comments.
Actually, I think you're wrong about the no-follow idea. I just went to www.BacklinkWatch.com and it's not labeling my wordpress comments as "no-follow". Any explanations?
Actually you`ll find that i am correct should know i own a blog backlink watch must not see the no follow attribute goto 99% of the blogs you have commented on and look at the source code for the page your comment is on i bet you that 99% of the time you will see a rel="nofollow" attribute next to your link.
my blog is set to follow actually all i said is check the source code anyway you`ve already admitted to spamming comments upto 100 times a day so know wonder your comments dont appear
