Me too starting from yesterday one of my sites dropped big time, pages still show in site: command, this is similar to what happened to the same site on Mar 8th 2006 and it took 3 weeks to get fixed
Whats going on our main and some targeted keywords are on page 1 across 40 dc but traffic is down almost 50% primarily from Google . Can someone explain this to me I checked my website using site command and it shows they cached the page last 14th of June, BUT when I search my domain.com on google I get this which is cached on the 21st of June. Is this normal Basoone
I have a legitamate site (blog) that was top 3 for several related keywords. Site is unique and is updated everyday with unique content. I usually average 1000 uniques a day. I noticed my traffic was really low today and sure enough, the site is gone from the serps on ALL datacenters. Meanwhile, a similar site that has zero content and is just a landing page with azoogle ads is #1. I give up.
Oh, and by the way, thanks to the moron that moved this thread....... NOT! This is a thread about Google, not about reviews... this is getting almost as bad as WMW
The positive side is that it looks like the fault is not ours, it's just Google messing up things. Hope that they see soon that they have made a big mistake and will fix it ASAP.
I am experiencing the same problems as this guy http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=1055253&postcount=22 and it shows that there is something wrong in their side. How come my www.domain.com doesn't show for "domain" knowing that domain is not a keyword as such. If I was alone I would say it is a penalty but since it is a shared problem, it is not. and it is not an update otherwise my site would at least rank for "domain" ===> it is a google issue!! fuck'em
I do see the changes here on my side.. i am losing ranking in 2 data centres of google.. in other data centres i am gaining rankings.. hope i dont lose the my SERPs
First day is over and i can see that i lose 70% of traffic. .It really hurts. I'm already in panic and it never happend before.I has always first 10 position by 5-6 most seached keyword combination and now i;m unfindable. As many people here said PR is same 5 and my site with site: mysite.com is on first place but still do not know what to do. Start to change things (is it google glitch or not..?) or leave it as it was for the past 5 year. Looking now through my website i would someone to ask is it problem to have affiliate with elelement5.However i have it already past 2 years i'm not sure anymore http://esd.element5.com/product.htm...klink=http://www.mysite.com&affiliateid=64031 or is better without backlink http://esd.element5.com/product.html?productid=165034&affiliateid=64031 or not at all. My site was cached on 25juni for the last time.Anybody have idea what to do or simple wait and do nothing.
Things are moving now for me... With site: command, my homepage comes now first with no title, no description! ... and the weird thing is that my indexed pages jumped from 30k to 100k overnight! so,my strategy (and advice), DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING... and cross your fingers!
same here, it shows now in first but not the usual ranking of pages when using site: command. and it still fluctuating and low traffic. probably google hates montreal buddy !!
Yeah my serps dropped on the 21st as well. The two things that seem to characterise a lot of the dropped sites are coop network and mod rewrite. Whilst I have lost virtually ALL my traffic from Google, Google sitemaps is now saying that my rankings are back to normal, which hasn't seemed to have shown up in the Google SERPs, but I'm hoping these are figures that suggest my site will be returned to it's old rankings soon enough.
I had the same thing happen. On the 27 - 28 I lost 70% of my google traffic that I had for three years. I'm in panic mode! I thought the problem was my site but after reading here and on many other forums it looks like google really messed things up. I did make some changes to my site which can only help but I guess the only thing I can really do it hope they get this fixed asap.
nortstar, did all your pages go into supplement or do your entire site dropped out out of the SERP but all pages still indexed? My site dropped out of the SERP, all pages still indexed (no supplements)
exact same date same result for me ( some 70% of all traffic lost ) nothing to worry about sit back and relax - take a break a few minutes then create new content and clean up all but no major changes after a few weeks - usually around 3 - all is usually back to very normal or even better than ever before thats a way go shock newbies google started about a year or 2 ago i clean up - improve - update, spell check - but never change any SEO during such phases !! the first few keywords are already returning in the keyword tracker - i submitted 3 sitemaps today and google grabbed all 3 within 1 minute a sign that there is need for a smile and some fun in the waiting time and never for panic mode take it easy - after another many years online it all looks different. G is like the ocean - soemtimes rough, sometimes quiet - but always deep crawling and active each day
All my pages are still listed if I do (site:www.domain.com) in google and I'm still on top for some less popular keywords but the major keywords that I was on the first page for years suddenly dropped off to 0 - 1 per day. My Google PR 5 is unchanged and all other search were not effected. This is the first time in my four years working on the net I have had this happen with a major search engine. I've had Google drop a couple hundred a day but nothing like this 70% drop. I'm dreading to see what is does to my revenue this month. Luckily I have some money set back for emergencies like this. Lets just hope google fixes it soon.
