I've had almost 200 adwords campaigns running for 6 weeks and due to the tight focus of each ads they have all had a quality score of Great. I noticed no sales yesterday so i checked and every ad has now gone to a QS of poor. I can't emphasize enough that these ads have been running fine for 6 weeks and the keyword, ad title and landing page are all perfectly matched. Anyone know if google have done anything in the past few days
From what I gathered they hit disorganized campaigns, where people were dumping 10,000 keywords in at a time and then crossing their fingers. (Which is not a good way to run a campaign). They also did some more house cleaning on bridge pages and one page wonders. (If you haven't built a landing site for your campaigns yet, you should.) That's what I have gathered so far on it. But it's always a guessing game with adwords.
I had a tightly organized campaign (1 adgroup per keyword set) hit hard -- and it's a publisher site (I'm an author), no affiliate links. I have a contact page, privacy page, articles page with several articles, and an about us page. The only thing it doesn't have is a "terms of use" page. Could that be why it got slapped? Johnny
