Has the Internet become Too big?

Is the internet now too big with too many site sharing too little traffic?

Are there too many competitors for people to make money?

    Your thought?

I dont think so, but reliable information is more and more difficult to find. Search Engines are becoming more important. Competition promotes better websites, so the more the merrier. I guess you can debate either way..

Not too big, just alot of senseless sites that keep you from finding what your looking for.

The internet just seems big. I don't find it too big in the areas that interest me. Most small sites that try to attract attention in those niches are usually below my radar and when I find them, I hardly ever elevate them. They are just not good enough. If the internet were smaller, I would get through looking at those things that interest me faster.

I would say one thing though . . . . having more may be less on the internet. Consequently, it could be argued it is still not big enough. Everyone on the internet is still working on the same, basic loaf of bread. The net is past due for slices from another loaf.

The size of the Internet is not important in my opinion. It won't diminish competition.

I don't see a saturation coming for the internet in next two decades.

Currently world internet penetration is around 16-17% (Source: internetworldstats.com)

However the number of new pages being added to the internet is increasing at a much faster rate than the number of users being added. At some point of time, the number of internet users will stop growing. I don't see this happening for next 20 years, but whenever it happens, webmasters will start having a difficult time. :D.

when i started using the internet, some 8 years back, internet was enough big then.
still the things were different, like yahoo used to give the 2 mb space, when it increased to 25 mb, i was feeling the happiest one!
anyways, internet is enough big, but people like us, who has started on time, will always find traffic and money for our websites.

10 years from now, it will be almost impossible to fight the compeittors perhaps:rolleyes:

Internet became a big trash can. It's all because of advertising. I wish there were no advertisement on the Internet.

There are web sites for everyone in internet. So if you want - you can chose this one - who you like and you can ignore the other sites.

of course there are few websites which i like, but even though they are trying to get some money for they business. That's why they put hundreds of banners and pop-ups. That's what I hate most in internet.
