Has the dance begun?

All was good last night and like normal. Today, 80% of my content is out of Google, and traffic is down significantly. No changes to the site overnight either, it was business as usual.

You should keep track your site in the next few weeks,
while the serp is updating, it's very not stable.
Anyway have you check the google webmaster tools dashboard?

This would sting if it's like this for a few weeks. Nothing has changed in GWT yet

For one of my mini websites, Google de-indexed most of the pages . Is this because of the SERP update?

I think it may have started yesterday. I noticed one of my competitors got about a 500% increase in traffic yesterday with no real difference in my site. Today, my google traffic is down about 25%. Some of my other competitors have lost around 50% of their traffic today. I do have an accurate way to keep track of the traffic of the competition in my niche, so I have a fairly good view of my niche as a whole.

Incidentally, the competitor that got the 500% increase in traffic yesterday is only about 10% higher than average for him today.

I haven't seen anything on my sites directly that would indicate something is up. However, I don't visit all my pages everyday to thoroughly check and watch every single one. Same with the SERP's I don't check them all the time, but they seem normal for me. Nothing off the chart or anything. Guess I'll watch a little more closely the next week or so.

I really prefer checking site traffic checks everyday.. I prefer comparing stats over a period of 4-5 days.. no point in jumping up or getting bogged down coz of overnight changes

I noticed changes last night too and i hate it when Google does this, surely they can find a more effective measure of page rank.

For you guys that want to know how I can track my competition, PM me and I will tell you. No charge or any funny stuff - I just don't want to ruin a good thing by having every noob in the world trying my technique.
