Yea would have to agree with the poster, have been waiting for changes to be recached on several sites and some pages have been 7 or 8 weeks now. back in early summer it was never more than a week and a half to two weeks with same sites. tried all the usual tricks to get them to come, no joy, i think Gbot's off on summer holiday itself.
one of my blog is been cached on 9th sep. all the pages are indexed.... till tomorrow everything was fine but today all my serp drops to zero. Google has crawled my sitemap yesterday(webmasters) I dont know what's the reason? whatever it is i hope it will resolved quickly.
I think the bot is busy fixing the public service ad issue on many sites it has almost fixed ours but has been slow crawling new content.
I keep jumping around in google results for certain keywords, one day I am on the second page an the next I am on the 7th... OUCH!!! Not really sure what to do besides keep building links I guess? The site is only a couple months old...
it's all depend on Change frequency which is selected by you in your sitemap which you submit to search engines..Change frequency derterminates how often you update your website and then the bots come to crawl on this Change frequency. i think this will help all......
it's wierd, you guys are saying google isn't indexing anywhere near as much as normal, but for the last 1-2 weeks i've had the oppisite, googlebot has gone from around 10-20 pages a day, and is hovering around 1000-1500 pages crawled, i have only seen one batch of pages added to the index so far, about 400 of them, but still, it's kinda freaky
why it's only half of the people here who actually read the post and not the title? do people here assume that no one has any basic knowledge of SEO, and that "change content more frequent" is something others are unaware of?
Many of my sites haven't had the cache updated since 8th September. I checked a few big sites like apple, adobe, hotscripts and godaddy, their most recent cache is all from 12th September - 9 days ago.
Exactly so sir! Only today my site's cache has been changed to 12th of september! Before today, all major websites were crawled only on the 8th of September!
I took a new site few around a month back and it has not been catched till now. Hope it will soon be catched.
I've had the 12th Sept cache for the front page for a week now...I don't think that matters much SERPS-wise cause individual pages/posts are being indexed as normal.
Google bot crawled on my site regularly, when the content was updated.Try to submit your web site for reconsideration in Google webmasters
More and more people are using Google Webmaster tools and with the popularity of instant websites (Blogs, Profiles, etc...) everybody has some type of web presence...the web has grown leaps and bounds just in the past couple of years...this could have some effect on Google not crawling sites as quickly. regards, Dusty
I think it has something to do with new content being added to the site all the time,i have started to notice the more people post the more the bots crawl.
