First of all, hey guys, very nice to meet you. Hope this is the right section to post. My site hasn't been scanned since the 9/6 (sixth of September). I have tried to look for the cache of major site (for example google.it itself, i dont think it gets any more popular than this). Latest I've witness a cache of any site, is the 8th. So , what's up lately? Has the bot dropped dead?
I've had the bot visiting, but the displayed cache is way back at the end of August. Have updated the page too!
My cache is much older than usual too. And I've had a big serp fall during the last week, not sure if they are related.
That's not because the bot is lazy. That's because you are lazy and didn't do enough postings or didn't promote enough, build links enough, etc.
I've had over 100 quality backlinks to my website according to the webmaster tools. I changed my whole system in my site with TONS of added features (from WP to a custom made expensive PHP system), and to top it, I added also a few articles. Normally, before this week I had my site crawled on a regular basis of 3 days. I also heard about this issue this week from people with large news sites that are crawled 3-5 times a day usually. This week zero crawls. Again, I'm talking about people who operate large websites on a regular basis, and not a "side-job" blog.
...and I have thousands of links to mine. It's not a lack of links. Just something going on, a change or maintenance or goof I suppose.
Septembet 8th here very lazy! http://72.14.205.104/search?sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&q=cache:http://www.blogengage.com/ I simply don't know! September 7th here, http://72.14.205.104/search?sourcei...=cache:http://www.blogengage.com/upcoming.php
It's been a little slow on our site as well. Last cache was Sept. 6th. We're normally once a week. I checked several of our clients and it appears to be running behind on their sites as well.
For some sites you will see new cache, where for others, you will see different cache dates. It depends on speed by which google crawls and index your site. If your site is updated often, then google will crawl faster.
I think that's because you're not updating the site often. Backlinks are also important to crawl and cache faster.
Actually it all depends on whether you update your site regularly with fresh contents and whether you work on building your backlinks by placing your url at high traffic forums or blogs through commenting. Those are few ways to get the spiders to crawl your site more often and update it.
Better backlinks will get your site cwarled frequently You can also try resubmission using webmaster tools
