People are often reluctant to speak about the deeper issues they have.

btw, try to type like you would in your homework (before someone gets on your case about it :) )

Edit: actually, type as you like, don't care. Just telling you some folks here are going to say something about it :)

Suicide is a personal choice and a personal responsibility. The right to end our own existence is the final right we enjoy as human beings.

Sometimes suicide makes sense. Sometimes problems are permanent and unfixable. That's just the way it is.

Those older males who are killing themselves are adults who are making a decision to take final control of their lives. I salute those guys. If I live long enough, I will take the same course of action with my existence. Hemingway had the right idea -- live while you are going to live and when the fun runs out, step out of the game.

Young people often kill themselves because they are stupid and inexperienced. That's a bit of a different story. They think that their favorite television show being cancelled is reason enough to kill themselves. Kids.

But, then again, on a more cynical note -- perhaps those aren't the people we really need in the gene pool. If they whack themselves before they reproduce, they help to reduce a problem that may effect countless generations after them.

very gentle and polite people only commit suicide. Other rough and tough characters can bear any type of social humiliate hence they are not dare enough to go for suicide. Humbleness also one of the factor to commit suicide.

I have some good articles on depression on my site written by Justin Meyer (a DP member I think).
    http://www.newbeingnutrition.com/art_depression.htm

and a short piece by myself

    http://www.newbeingnutrition.com/sup_depress.htm

My advice is if you are feeling depressed is to see your doctor or if you need someone to talk to call the Samaritans 08457 909090 http://www.samaritans.org.uk/

I know that the Samaritans is a UK charity but I am afraid that I don't know if they are also based in other countries.

Agree to some degree. Sensitive people are most likely to do it. I think being humble is a good thing, but being a push-over is not. There can be a fine line in between those two.

    It's not pointless.

    It ends pain and suffering.

What could be less pointless than that?

I'm pro-choice-suicide, I belive if somebody is in enough paint to want to end their life they should have to right to do so. Sometimes when bad things in my life happen I think about it, but never seriously considered it.
