Has my website been blacklisted?

    Hi All,

I have been working on a website - www.educationvacancies.com & optisimed it (to the best of my ability).

Firstly it ranked quite well, on page 1 of the rankings infact. However it then disapeared from the rankings altogether. I put this down to operating a reciprocal links policy, I then removed all links and resumitted to Google (which they accepted).

We then returned to page 5 of the rankings, and accepted that must be our natural position, but recently we have since disapeared off the face of Google once again (no changes have been made!).

Researching this, a number of people have suggested that a lack of fresh content could cause this to happen. However I also run a number of sites (and have done for many years) that are hardly ever updated! They remain on page 1 of the Google SERP for the target keywords, so I don't believe this is the problem.

    Can anyone advise please?

    Thanks,

    Greens85

I don't think you have been blacklisted at all, as you still have 50 or so pages indexed in Google- http://www.urlink.eu/ia

This happens from time to time. Sometimes pages on my site move back or forwards a few pages.

site 100% not banner by google.

    is your site new?

if it is - probably from beginning it had "begineer's bonus" - it some king filter that allow new site to take some possitions for some short time.

now perhaps it went to sandbox. another filter from google that is opposite to beginner's bonus and does not allow site to appear in competitors query's results. it arteficially ranked low.

keep on working - your site will be back.

i am working on www.articlewolf.com now. it has gone to sand box several month ago but this week came back to result with very good rankings and visitors stats from 10-50/day improoved to almost 300 uv/day!

so keep on working - good content and you will be rewarded!

Thanks for some of the answers! I had wondered if I had issues as well. My blog started out of the gate well and then dropped back to PR0 but my pages are indexed. I quess I need to just keep plugging quality content and links and it will break free on the next update.

buy some links or posts but carefully. of course if you buy 1000 links at a time - it's bad as well :)

It may be because Google is updating the index with caffeine update.
As said in previous post, you need to generate more quality backlinks to your site.

You have a few problems there Greens85. Run your site through Google Webmaster Tools. Your site is indexed but the bots are having trouble navigating through it.;)

Check out your sitemap, robots.txt, and htaccess files. People tend to overlook this step when putting a site up.

After you get that straight, work on getting backlinks. If you are not going to be adding new content, you will need to get plenty of those backlinks.

    Good luck!!

Google give a New Content Boost to new pages and new sites, this boost helps them rank high in search results. But this boost is only temporary.

New sites can rank higher at first and then they will disappear and will re appear at random times.

In order to get a stable position in SERPs, you should try to get some solid/trusted backlinks for your site. Also, updating content will also help

As pointed out above, you are most likely sandboxed.

If anybody is actually penalized from Google feel free to PM me, I may be able to help you out
