Doing a whois for Google I came across some strange registration details for google.com: see attachment.

What is it and how is it done ? Is that a hack or something ?

http://www.internic.net/ is down right now too

Yes, most likely someone hijacked their DNS servers and someone set it to their own or their website is malfunctioning. When I visited the URL above you provided, it timed out and didn't connect. Most likely hosting problems or DNS problems on their part. I suggest using www.directnic.com or www.whois.sc for any furhter needs right now.

Probably...but oh well, you live and learn (hopefully everyday, otherwise life would be boring). But yes, in the end, I can assure you that Google was not hacked.

Your domain tool is searching for domain names with "google.com" in them. If I own "suckiest.com" I can set up subdomains, google.com.is.the.suckiest.com or subdomain.subdomain.subdomain.suckiest.com.

I'm sure those are probably used for vhosts or something on IRC, maybe advertising. Google didn't get hacked.

I didnt actually think it had been hacked - I assumed somehow someone hacked their domain details - the site was still working etc.

I would say something similar happened this year, but then Google went down, it's not the same.

How can you say its not possible for google to get hacked. Someone could hack google if they wanted, im sure there are people who know how, just simply dont. At the end of the day, if its on the internet, its vulnerable to hackers, end of!

It is not a google.com host name, so it is not hijacked :)

    it's a funny hostname from seczy.com

    nslookup google.com.has.less.free.porn.in.its.search.engine.than.seczy.com
    Server: 127.0.0.1
    Address: 127.0.0.1#53

    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: google.com.has.less.free.porn.in.its.search.engine.than.seczy.com
    Address: 69.41.166.13

or enter it in your browser -- you must be 18+ to do this

Right... has nothing to do with google.com (the domain). You are looking at a record for seczy.com

Actually Google Inc. is the owner of some of the amusing domains like google-yahoo-sex.com and google-yahoo-porn.com.

nddb is right on with that answer. This is a very old trick and all you have to do is put the domain in a subdomain of your own domain and it will get picked up by whois.
