Has google punished me? SERP Ranking

HI guys i own a arcade site and i used to rank really wel for the term free games.

I always used to rank around page 2-3

But yesterday looking for my ranking postion to see if i had jumped

I could not find my site at all.

I check google webmaster tools i duno how long it takes to update but that stil says im in 23postion.


I have recently redesgin kenplay but i made sure that all the links was the same.

do u think ive been punished or am i on a bouce as i have been been building link quite rapid over the last few weeks.

When you roll out a redesign of a site, it is common for your ranking to go down temporarily. As long as you have not made any mistakes with the site navigation you should be fine after a little while.

Depends what you mean by building links rapidly, but that can also be a red flag to G.

 

Even if you redesign the site but the metas are untouched, rank should not change... maybe your competitors are doing great...

maybe it is sandbox how old is your site and domain

 

maybe is the google dance. wait for at least 2 weeks : ))

 

I recently changed my design on my site but have not touched the navigation links or pages but my rank has dropped for most of my key words now I am on page 2-3 on google search vs #2 #3 # on page 1, my traffic has tanked also, hoping this will change soon.

 

Did you alter the page content, <title> tags, Heading (h1, h2, h3) etc?

It is the case that your competitors are a doing a great job. You should improve your SEO too.

 

If you just redesign your site, without changing any stuffs like content, tags, links, etc... then it has no effect to your site ranking. There could be some other factor that affect your site performance. It could be the links you get, optimization, or even content. For now, just wait until your real ranking comes up.

 

perhaps the others are just doing better than yours, Dont think redesignin will help

 

If keywords of the site are same after designing then then rank should be same.

 

3 things i'd consider:

1. If you've done aggressive link building, this will be the problem.
2. If you've altered substantially the content and internal linking of your site...
3. Google is in the process of an algo update
